Summit Statements
In advance of the km-scale Summit 2026, the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology and WarmWorld hosted a small hackathon. One of the objectives of the hackathon was to jointly outline a number of position papers addressing key challenges and opportunities in km-scale Earth system modelling. These statements reflect ongoing community discussions and we intend to further exchange on these during and beyond the summit.
